Because we care about the dance training our students receive.

We start children out with Pre-Ballet/Creative Movement training in three ascending levels from ages 3-5 to properly train their growing bodies before we start them with Tap or Jazz at age 6. Children's muscles and motor skills generally are not developed quite enough to execute actual Tap or Jazz steps before age 6.

We also care very much about the safety of our Pointe students. We have a Pre-Pointe program that must be successfully completed before anyone goes on their toes, regardless of whether or not they are older than 12. If they are not 12 or older, we will not put them on Pointe no matter how ready they are. Dance experts and therapists agree that putting a child on Pointe before the bones ossify (harden) can do great damage to their growing bodies either immediately, or problems can also show up later in life.

We put on professional recitals that you can be proud to be a part of. There are no dancers walking in and out of the auditorium, talking and getting out of their seats the entire show. Routines are smoothly presented one after another on stage with no lag time. Professional sound people are running, editing, and mixing our music, which is family appropriate and varied.

We also don't spend the whole 2nd semester on recital routines. We start out the year with technique, and keep it going for most of the class except for 5-10 minutes or so the first part of the year, moving up to 20 minutes during the end of the year. We continue to train in technique throughout the year so students are constantly being given proper training, and are not bored with the recital routines by the end of the year.

Encore! Dance Studio was founded in 1998. It started as a one-room studio with a waiting room, office, and 65 students in the Cedarburg Business Park. Located in the Stoneridge building, the studio has seen one expansion to two studio rooms, and completed a second expansion in August 2002. The second expansion increased the number of dance rooms to three, and added two waiting rooms, two changing areas, and a reception area.

Encore!'s studio space boasts hardwood sprung floors. The shock absorption it provides for our dancers is a must-have luxury in our industry.

Most recently in August of 2005, Encore! opened up a second location in Menomonee Falls. The new studio is fully equipped with three studio rooms with sprung hardwood floors, two waiting rooms, changing rooms, and bathrooms.
