Female
dancers need a leotard and tights for all classes. They can be any color. **The only
exceptions to the leotard and tights rule will be 1 hr hip hop classes. These students may wear
any type of loose clothing.**

Students
in all classes should come to class with their hair up if it is longer
than just below the chin. If the hair will absolutely not stay
up, please at least put the sides back. This is very important for learning
to spot properly while turning.
Dance
shoes MUST be worn for class. If a dancer does not have their shoes for
class, they will have to sit out until a parent brings their shoes.
This is purely for safety reasons.
 Parents
of new pre-ballet students (ages 3-5) -- Please be aware that it is our
studio policy that you stay on the premises during your child’s class in case they have to go
to the bathroom, or there are any other problems.
RECITAL:
Recital is not mandatory to participate
in classes, but 98% of the students do participate. Please keep in
mind that if you do commit to participating, you will need to reserve all dates necessary to
fully participate in recital. We try to keep costume prices down at our studio by combining parts
of costumes to make other costumes for different dance styles your children are in.
 Please
refer to your brochure for all prices, policies, schedules, recital
dates, and studio vacations.
If you do not have a current brochure, please
contact the studio
to request one.

Q: "Do you take beginners?"
A: Absolutely!! We take beginners of all ages in all
dance styles.
Q: "I can't find your schedule on the website, did I miss it?"
A: You didn't miss it. We like to talk to each person individually to make sure that the student
is placed in the best possible class.
Q: I'm not sure I want to make a full school year commitment,
what if I don't like it?
A: We have a three week grace period when you sign up. If for any reason
things don't work out and we can't get you into another type of class within the first three
weeks, we will refund money for any classes you didn't take.
Q: What if I do quit after the first
three week "grace period"?
A: We want to make sure that classes are maintained at
minimum sizes to ensure that they will continue to run. Also, if a class is at capacity and you
quit, you may have taken someone else's spot that would have liked to stay for the whole year.
Therefore, if you quit AFTER the first three weeks, you will be subject to a cancellation fee.
In our experience, we find that three weeks has been more than enough time to see if dance is "your
thing."
Q: Why can't my 3-5 year old take
Tap or Jazz at your studio?
A: Their muscles and bodies are much more equipped to execute actual Tap or Jazz movements
after 6 years old therefore providing a greater sense of achievement.
Q: Can I watch my child's
class?
A: We can much better
guarantee that you get your money's worth if we have your child's full attention. We do have
observation days for everyone in December, and an additional observation day on the third week
of class for Pre-Ballet students. You will notice at our recitals that the kids know their dances
by themselves and are onstage without their teacher. Our teachers hide behind curtains in case
the kids need us, but most often students have the routine down by this time. Note: We do ask
that parents of our 3-5 year olds stay in our waiting rooms during your child's class for their
safety.
Q: How big are your classes?
A: We don't take more than 10 children in a class in order
to provide the best student/teacher ratio.
Q: Do you have desk staff available during classes to answer my questions?
A: During most classes,
the answer is yes. If in the off chance someone is not in the office, you may always call at
any time during the day and your call will most often be answered the same day. The best time to reach us is Tuesday and Thursday between 3:30-5:30pm.
Q: Do you have
a sprung/floating floor in all of your studios?
A: Yes!!
